Kingfisher Lodge & Tours is a small lodge, created back in 1998 by its owner, Don Antonio Sequeira, a Caño Negro resident. This place is considered a nice accommodation alternative offered to the visitors. During the past years, Mr. Sequeira committed himself, learning more about the area and he has welcomed national and international tourism.

Don Antonio was eager to provide a suitable hosting service, so he decided to begin his journey through the tourism business. He used his land to build two rooms; later in 2005 due to a high demand a third room was built. The last room was built in 2009.

Now he has 6 cabins with the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay in Caño Negro. The lodge is centrally located and easy access to main attractions and services.

Mr. Sequeira counts on Cynthia, his daughter, Carlos and Marco his sons. They all work together leading the administration and promoting the lodge.

Besides the lodge Don Antonio has two boats, and he offers wildlife observation tours and sport fishing within Caño Negro and its surroundings.

During the past years, this family has received financial and technical support from non-governmental organizations such as PROMES, COOPRENA and Rainforest Alliance. This enables him to provide high quality services and also manage his business as an environmentally friendly way, cooperating with the conservation of the natural and cultural resources.
